04.24.2026 WHAT'S HAPPENING AT oUR TENNIS COURTS?
After dealing with rain delays, the soil injections have finally been completed! We have a 72-hour cure period and then mandatory soil testing can begin. Results of the tests should be back the first week of May so we can proceed with the pad sites.

Check out these renderings of the new tennis courts being constructed at Tanglewood Park as part of the Capital Improvement Projects! The first rendering illustrates the courts during daylight hours, and the second rendering illustrates the courts during nighttime hours with the new “Tweener” lighting system that will be at the top of the fencing surrounding the courts. The courts will be reorientated to North/South, and (for all you dinkers and bangers out there) one court will have pickleball striping!

While these renderings are just 3D 'illustrations' to help us visualize the vibe—and don't show every tiny technical detail or final material choice -- and aren’t to scale -- we are absolutely in for the direction it’s heading!
So much has changed since the last pool was built 40 years ago! There are a lot more do’s and don’ts in 2026! But with guidance from the City of Austin and our professional contractors, we are confident we are headed for a great splash-down!
04.13.26 A new flag is raised at the construction Site
Tanglewood Forest Limited District Board past-president Ron Peterson raised a new flag at the recreational complex today, while current board member, Steve Gerlofs, looked on! It might still be a construction zone, but seeing the flag fly high at the new recreational complex makes all the hard work feel worth it. A little daily inspiration as this space continues to be transformed into a hub for all of us to enjoy!

Take a good look .... because tomorrow everything changes! For 40 years, this pool has been the heart of our summers! In less than 24 hours we begin clearing the way for a brand-new Community Center and Recreational Complex!
